Hey there! I’m Ann Skowronski, and you have just reached my creative lifestyle blog. I hope you enjoy your stay and can find the recipe, artwork, or garden tips you were looking for.
I have a wide range of photography on this blog: landscape, portrait, macro, product, food, abstract. I try to include some background about the photos so that you can see why I chose a certain angle, exposure, or editing process. Those discussions are intended to push you to create more personal, meaningful art.
There are themes you may find a bit outré for your tastes, such as my continued attraction to creepy dolls and fear of mannequins. Or my occasional delves into pin up style self-portraiture. I don’t find those themes terribly strange, but it has been commented upon by others.
My gardening tips focus on plants in the Central Texas region, with a particular focus on native plants. However, I am a big proponent of edible landscaping, which cannot be done solely with native plants.
I also occasionally blog about hiking areas, but that’s mainly because I hike to get the photos I want.
My recipes are fairly simple affairs. I’ve been experimenting with edible landscaping plants for years now, so I have quite a few recipes to share with you. lately, I have been focusing on native plant recipes. I’ll admit that it’s been a challenge to make the recipes tasty. Those recipes are works in progress for sure.
I encourage you to try out them and report back on your results. I’d love to know how they turn out for you.
