Self-Portrait in El Paso

I used to do a whole bunch of self-portraits. I tapered off those to explore other subjects. You know, subjects other than ME ME ME. LOL!

I took these at sunset across from the El Paso Art Museum. I wanted to see how the results changed based on the angle of the camera to the sun. Make no mistake, these are totally selfies with me holding the camera up with one hand.I haven’t brought a tripod with me on a trip in a while.

Overall, it was a good learning experience. Dappling the sun through my hair and sitting behind a column to allow the light to reflect up to me from a pool below really helped soften the light.

I took some pictures with me facing the sun. It was all bad news. You could really tell I needed to powder my nose! Ew: I won’t be posting those.
